If ever I was motivated, in recent months, to update this web site, today’s revelation that Ashley Ward is the first all Green Ward in Bristol should not be allowed to pass without acknowledgement. Whilst congratulations are due to our new advocate, Councillor Rob Telford (Green), who must be whooping with celebratory joy as I write, his electoral success does mean us losing our most experienced and valuable political asset in Ashley Ward, outgoing yet dynamic Dr Jon Rogers (Lib Dem), due solely to a national dissatisfaction with the Lib Dems.

Date set to commence works to re-open Drummond Road.

Tweet BCC have announced that work to reopen Drummond Road to two-way through traffic will commence on 17th October 2011 starting with the Ashley Road junction followed by the City Road junction roughly three weeks later. WE WON! Shady Grove is closed & all is peaceful
