Interesting comment, Tony. This can be looked at in several ways. Momentum on its’ own can swing either way and the negative momentum of those responsible for the anti-social behaviour is a prime example as they have overwhelmed the residents of this street.

In that sense, there has been ‘negative momentum’, and for some time. It has been a case of ‘community complacency’ meets the ‘irresistible force of anti-social behaviour’ allied to further complacency by Bristol City Council & other stakeholders. A complete ‘stalemate’ of total inertia. Two speeds, dead slow and stop and that has allowed a bad situation to get a firm foothold in our community.

It is very much now, hopefully, that we have begun as a community to reverse that trend more in our favour with some ‘positive momentum’ going in a forward direction.

Collectively, this community & friends needs to continue to give this campaign a push whenever they can. For this new, positive ‘momentum’ to have the forward impetus it needs to overcome these difficulties permanently, it requires those who can to do whatever they can as often as possible.

The really good news is that, thanks to some amasing people who have shown their support so far, this campaign is now definitely beginning to redress the balance back in this community’s favour.

And, I can tell you, the residents here really appreciate that. Thank you so much. Keep the support coming.

Momentum in the right direction can be built by moving together. There are some great people around but there is fear on these streets. I sometimes had a lonely and frightening time doing up my place there. It shouldnt be so stressful going to buy a pint of milk. It is not right the Police often have a view of lets just keep it here as it will only move if we do something. I give my support.
